On the 5th of November 1605, Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in Britain and kill King James the First. The plan was discovered and Guy Fawkes was executed. Today, people in Britain light bonfires and set off fireworks to celebrate Guy Fawkes Day. Our students watched videos and read texts about the history of Guy Fawkes and Bonfire Night in order to get inspired and create wonderful drawings.
